This was my second VOICE conference...I attended VOICE2010 two years ago as a newbie. My attendence then helped me to decide to pursue Voice Acting as a career. I know more now, than I did in 2010, but still consider myself to be a "newbie".
There was so much to see, learn and do at VOICE2012 that the event needed more than the 3 1/2 days allotted. I was part of the volunteer staff (Ambassadors) and therefore did a lot of the running around, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Some of us arrived early and were able to tour the Don LaFontaine Memorial sound studio (located in the SAG-AFTRA building in LA). That was swell to see.
Networking opportunities abounded. The exhibit hall featured professional and distributors of mics, headphones, portable studios, SAG-AFTRA reps and on and on.
I am already starting to save my pennies so that I can participate in the conference in 2014. If possible, I want to go to as many of the VOICE conferences as I can. I encourage others to make plans to attend.
